Baker

We are looking for an experienced baker who is passionate about creating high quality artisan bread and pastries and enjoys working in a fast-paced culinary environment with focus on farm-to-table philosophy. You should be knowledgeable in breads and pastries and the basic techniques required for execution of high quality baked goods. The ideal candidate has attended culinary school or has at least one year of professional baking experience, but we are willing to train the right person. The baker must have a schedule that allows for early morning baking (beginning 4am) or late night baking prep (beginning 8pm), weekend and holiday availability. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained and ensuring food safety standards are rigorously upheld. You should have good working knowledge of sanitation standards, health codes, and the ability to use large baking equipment i.e mixers, ovens etc. You must be able to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.


Cook

We  are looking a meticulous, high-energy cook with a passion for preparing  high  quality dishes with focus on  farm-to-table philosophy. We are a small team and you will be an integral part of keeping the kitchen running smoothly and preparing delicious, wholesome food for our customers. Duties will include cooking all meals listed on our menu prepping meals by  weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, checking  ingredients for freshness, and arranging and garnishing the  dishes.
 You will also be in charge of ensuring that the kitchen  and equipment  are properly cleaned and maintained and ensuring food  safety standards  are rigorously upheld. You should have good working  knowledge of hot and  cold food preparation, sanitation standards,  health codes, and the  ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food  processors, etc. Prior  experience cooking breakfast and lunch dishes or  culinary education is  preferred. You must be able to stand/walk for  8-hour shifts and lift at  least 50 pounds. If you have a special  interest in baking, we may be willing to train you to bake pastries  and/or artisan breads as well. Hours for this position are generally  6:30am-2:30pm.


Front of House Manager

Our manager will represent the time and care we put into our bakery to customers, and must have an in depth understanding of our ingredients, bakery items, food, and drinks we offer to communicate this clearly to customers while being able to seamlessly work in any front of house position as needed. A personal love and appreciation for artisan baking + café fare is important. You must have excellent "people-skills" and be an exceptionally hard worker that thrives being in a fast-paced culinary environment with focus on farm-to-table philosophy. The day-to-day work for our manager will be working as cashier and/or barista while being responsible for helping to resolve any issues within the front of house and dining area to ensure our customers are well cared for. You must have full availability throughout the week/seasons and be able to fill-in as needed.


You will be fully educated on our coffee and tea sourcing, prepare espresso and loose-leaf teas, and learn how to make the highest quality drinks while greeting customers and answering their questions. You will be proficient in using our Point of Sale system to input customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and be able to provide detailed helpful information to customers on our products. You will greet customers, be responsible for making and serving drip coffee, stocking and providing bread and pastries when ordered. You will be responsible for ensuring our specials are clearly indicated and the front of house and dining room is organized and clean. You will need quality math and computer skills, a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail. You must be able to stand or walk continuously for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.


Dishwasher

We are looking to bring on a hardworking, personable dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced, high quality culinary environment. We are looking for someone highly motivated, efficient, and energetic that will make a positive contribution to our small close-knit team and we will provide raises to over time that reflect your work. Duties include washing dishes, emptying bus tubs, ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing pots, pans, flatware, and sweeping/mopping. Other duties may include restocking items, unloading delivery trucks, helping to prepare cook stations, cleaning appliances and machines, and emptying and cleaning trash receptacles. All of our employees get a free meal of their choice during the work day and a 50% employee discount overall.
Must be:
- In good physical shape with the ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds

Cashier

We are looking for an efficient, personable cashier who has excellent "people-skills", is an exceptionally hard worker, and enjoys being part of a team in a fast-paced culinary environment with focus on farm-to-table philosophy.
This front-of-house staff position is more than being a cashier, although this is your main duty. You will represent the time and care we put into our bakery to customers, and must have an in depth understanding of our ingredients, bakery items, food, and drinks we offer to communicate this clearly to customers. You will be proficient in using our POS (Point of Sale) systems to input customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and be able to provide detailed helpful information to customers on our products. You will greet customers, be responsible for making and serving drip coffee, stocking and providing bread and pastries when ordered. You will need quality math and computer skills, a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail. You must be able to stand or walk continuously for 8- hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds. Staff that show promise in this position may also be specialty trained as barista after at least one month of employment.


Barista

We are looking an organized, engaging, personable barista with a passion for preparing high quality coffee, espresso, tea, and lattes in a fast-paced culinary environment with focus on farm-to-table philosophy.
You will prepare espresso and loose-leaf teas and learn how to make the highest quality drinks while greeting customers and answering their questions. You will be fully educated on our coffee sourcing and product lines and maintain a highly organized, clean, and well-stocked workspace. You must be committed to providing customers with excellent service. At least 1 year of prior barista experience and/or a personal passion for coffee and/or tea is highly preferred. Other duties include:
-Filling in for cashier when needed (you will be trained for this)
-Selling coffee and tea blends, highlighting the differences between items and educating customers about brewing methods.
-Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
-Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
-Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
-Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
-Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.
